NewsSouthern Tier Independent Restaurants (STIR) President and local restaurateur Rick Dodd has announced the 2023 “Celebrate Spring! Culinary Arts Festival” to be held on Sunday, May 1 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. The Festival will be held at the new SUNY Broome Culinary & Events Center, 78 Exchange Street in Binghamton.Features will include demonstrations and a look behind the scenes at some of our leading local restaurants as featured in the STIR Savor the Flavor Summer Tour.The project objectives include providing educational opportunities for restaurant employees, training for local agri-businesses, gardening and cooking workshops and enhanced culinary training at the SUNY Broome Culinary & Events Center.
